Terms of service

FriggHome — Terms of Service

Effective date: 16.09.2025
Entity: Frigg Home AD, a company organized under the laws of Bulgaria with registered address 10 Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd, 3rd floor, 1000 Sofia. (“FriggHome,” “we,” “us,” “our”).
These Terms govern your purchase of FriggBox hardware (Lite and Ultra), access to our websites, apps, and any related services or content (together, the “Services”). By placing a pre-order, creating an account, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

Plain-English summary (not a substitute for the full Terms):
• FriggBox is hardware + software that lets you run decentralized network roles at home.
• Rewards (if any) are provided by third-party protocols, not FriggHome. No returns, APRs, or payback are promised.
• March 2026 is a target ship date, not a guarantee. Crowdfunding means timelines can move.
• You’re responsible for lawful use, compliance with third-party protocol rules, and taxes.
• Keep your keys/backups safe. We are not a custodian and cannot recover lost keys.
• Our liability is limited to the amount you paid (to the maximum extent permitted by law).

1) Eligibility & Accounts

You must be 18+ and legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction. You’re responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. We may require identity or address verification to satisfy KYC/AML, export, or sanctions rules.

2) Pre-Orders, Payments & Pricing

2.1 Nature of pre-orders. A pre-order is an offer to purchase a product that is not yet manufactured. It helps us plan production, certifications, and logistics.
2.2 Target delivery. We are targeting March 2026 to begin shipping in waves (earliest backers first). This date is an estimate only and may change due to engineering, certifications, component availability, or logistics. See our Shipping Policy for details.
2.3 Pricing & taxes. Prices are shown in the currency indicated at checkout and exclude shipping, duties, VAT/GST, and other taxes unless stated otherwise. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for all amounts due.
2.4 Chargebacks. If you initiate a chargeback that is determined to be improper, you agree to reimburse us for associated costs and fees.
2.5 Third-party processors. Payments may be processed by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). Their terms apply in addition to ours.

3) No Investment, No ROI Promises

FriggBox and the Services are consumer hardware and software. They are not securities, investment contracts, or a token sale. We do not promise or imply any profit, APR, ROI, payback period, or price appreciation. Do not purchase for speculative returns.

4) Network Roles, Rewards & Variability

4.1 Third-party protocols. If you choose to run validator, relay, restaking, messaging relay, smart-home proxy, or other roles, you may receive protocol-level rewards (if offered by that protocol). These rewards are not paid by FriggHome.
4.2 No guarantees. Rewards (if any) are variable and depend on protocol policies, network conditions, location, uptime, stake, and other factors. We do not guarantee eligibility, continuity, or amount of rewards.
4.3 Your responsibility. You must review and comply with each third-party protocol’s terms, technical requirements, and rules; maintain adequate uptime, connectivity, and security; and comply with all applicable laws.

5) Keys, Wallets & Security

5.1 Self-custody. FriggBox supports on-device key generation and “cold wallet” modes. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your seed phrases, private keys, passwords, and backups.
5.2 No recovery. FriggHome is not a custodian and cannot recover lost credentials or funds.
5.3 Updates. We may provide firmware/software updates, including security patches. You agree that we may automatically install critical updates, or prompt you to do so, to maintain device integrity and compliance.

6) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • violate any law, regulation, sanctions, or third-party protocol rules;

  • circumvent security or disrupt networks;

  • host or transmit illegal content or malware;

  • infringe others’ IP;

  • use the Services to operate life-critical systems; or

  • resell software licenses, or use the Services for unlawful mining/fraud/spam.

We may suspend or terminate access for suspected violations.

7) Software License & Open Source

7.1 License. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use FriggHome software solely with FriggBox and our Services.
7.2 Open source. The device may include open-source components subject to their respective licenses. We will provide notices and source where required.

8) Shipping, Title & Risk of Loss

Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy (incorporated by reference). Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. You are responsible for duties, taxes, and import fees unless the checkout explicitly states DDP.

9) Returns, Cancellations & Refunds

Your rights are governed by our Refund Policy (incorporated by reference) and any non-waivable rights under applicable consumer law. Orders generally cannot be canceled after address lock or once a shipping label has been generated.

10) Warranties

10.1 Limited hardware warranty. FriggBox includes a limited warranty for defects in materials and workmanship for the period specified on your model page (e.g., Lite: 2 years; Ultra: [X] years). Warranty remedies are repair, replacement, or refund (at our option).
10.2 Exclusions. Warranty excludes misuse, modification, accidents, improper installation, operation outside published specifications, or damage from third-party software/protocols.
10.3 Disclaimer. Except as expressly stated, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement) to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; lost profits, lost rewards, lost data, or business interruption.

  • Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to FriggHome for the product or service giving rise to the claim.
    Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case, the limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted.

12) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FriggHome and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your: (a) breach of these Terms; (b) violation of law or third-party rights; or (c) use of third-party protocols or services.

You may not use or export the Services in violation of EU, U.S., or other export laws and sanctions. We do not ship to sanctioned or embargoed jurisdictions. You represent that you are not on any restricted party list.

15) Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supply-chain disruptions, acts of God, labor disputes, regulatory actions, or internet/carrier outages.

16) Intellectual Property & Feedback

All FriggHome marks, logos, and content are our IP or our licensors’. We may freely use any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit without obligation to you.

17) Changes to the Services

We may modify or discontinue features to improve reliability, security, or compliance. If we materially change functionality you rely on, we’ll provide reasonable notice where feasible.

18) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you (e.g., email or in-app). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

19) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

If you reside in the EU/EEA/UK: these Terms and any disputes are governed by the laws of Bulgaria (without regard to conflict-of-laws rules). Courts located in Sofia, Bulgaria shall have exclusive jurisdiction, and you retain any non-waivable consumer rights under your local law.

If you reside in the U.S.: to the fullest extent permitted by law, binding arbitration and class-action waiver apply:

  • Any dispute will be resolved by final, confidential arbitration administered by JAMS under its rules.

  • No class actions. You may bring claims only in your individual capacity.

  • Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for IP or unauthorized use.
    (If arbitration/class waiver is unenforceable for you, disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts of California, under that state’s law.)

20) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach, unlawful conduct, or risks to security or operations. You may stop using the Services at any time. Certain sections survive termination (e.g., payments due, IP, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability).
